Every year, a very prominent out of state dance studio run by one of Miss Ellie's protegees has a ceremony to honor an individual with "THE ELLIE AWARD". It is awarded annually to a special student who most exemplifies Miss Ellie's attributes. Their most coveted achievement is accompanied by a crystal trophy and a scholarship.
