| Class Descriptions |
Teeny Tots (2-3 yrs.) 45 min. Mommy (or guardian) & me class. Introduction to dance, includes ballet, tap, tumbling and creative movement. The use of props are also included. This class helps to build motor skills. (1 recital routine)
Tiny Tots I (3-4 yrs.) 1 hr. Basic ballet, tap and tumbling skills are taught. Song and dance routines along with the use of props enhance the learning experience. (2 recital routines)
Tiny Tots II (4-5 yrs.) 1 hr. This class expands on the skills and concepts of the Tiny Tot I program. (2 recital routines)
Ballet/Tap Combo (5-7, 7-9, 9-11 yrs.) 1hr. Barre, center floor exercises and combinations are taught emphasizing proper ballet technique. Tap classes teach syncopated rhythm and sounds. (2 recital routines)
Jazz/Poms Combo (5-7, 7-9, 9-11, 11+) 1 hr. Technique, execution, combinations and current dance moves are taught in jazz class using popular music. Poms is a dynamic class which teaches dance and drill team style moves. The focus is on jumps, kicks and precision. (2 recital routines)
Hip Hop (7-9, 9-11, 11+, Teens) 45 min. Dance and funk moves are fused together as seen on the latest music videos. (1 recital routine)
Musical Theater Dance (7-11, 11+, Teens) 45 min. Broadway songs and dances are taught emphasizing style and showmanship. (1 recital routine in every show)
Leaps and Turns (9-11, Teens) Technique, proper body alignment and execution of leaps and turns is taught.
Lyrical (9-11, Teens) 45 min. Moves interpret the lyrics of the music. Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz technique. It is a more expressive form of dance relating to the spirit and freedom of the dancer. (1 recital routine)
Ballet (11+, Teens) 45 min., 1 hr., or 1.5 hrs. Barre, center floor exercises and combinations are taught emphasizing proper ballet technique. Ballet is the foundation for all forms of artistic dance. (1 recital routine)
Pointe (11+, Teens) 30 min. Ballet is a pre-requisite for this class. (1 recital routine)
Jazz (Teens, Adult) 45 min. Technique, execution, combinations and current dance moves are taught in jazz class using popular music. (1 recital routine)
Poms (Teens) 45 min. A dynamic class which teaches dance and drill team style moves. The focus is on jumps, kicks and precision. (1 recital routine)
Tap (Teen/Adult) 45 min. This class teaches syncopated rhythms, patterns and combinations. (1 recital routine)
Adult Dance for Fitness (Teen, Adult) 45 min. Highly intensive cardio workout with moves straight from the latest music videos. We know you want to dance, but are you finally ready to sweat? (1 recital routine)
